Peace of Mind Counseling Services, PLLC

Have you experienced some form of trauma? Trauma often leaves us feeling worried, stressed, fearful, confused, angry, disoriented, lost, anxious, depressed, or even hopeless.

Are you are looking for a warm, caring, genuine, and thoughtful counselor? Someone who is not just about evidenced-based therapeutic techniques, but will be present, and to hold space with you?

No two clients are alike. Each client is an individual person with a unique history, issues, and needs. Some clients require an eclectic approach, while others would benefit from a more focused approach like Brainspotting or  Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

I provide counseling and psychotherapy services to individuals and groups. I work with adults and the geriatric population who experience a variety of concerns and issues.

I am trained in the following therapeutic modalities:

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Eye Movement Desensitization and

Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)

Brainspotting Therapy (BSP)

Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (Coming)

Internal Family Systems Therapy (Coming)

Clinical Immigration Assessment/ Evaluation (No Therapy)

My role is to help you heal your trauma and achieve a quality of life by giving you the tools to help yourself. As we problem-solve together, my commitment and goals are to help you to move toward personal growth and positive mental health. You will have the most success by completing the goals you came to achieve.

***Please Read ***

  • Therapy is a journey based on safety, therapeutic rapport between the provider and the client, treatment modalities, and the provider’s ability to treat your conditions/issues. Therefore, in this provider’s clinical judgment, she would not be a good fit for you if you have been diagnosed with or suspect to have narcissistic, borderline, histrionic, or antisocial personality/disorders. Additionally, if you are actively suicidal, have a history of suicidal attempts, or are diagnosed with schizophrenia/paranoia/delusions, the provider would not be a good fit for you since she has minimal training in working with these populations.
  • If you had an initial session with this practice and have not scheduled a follow-up session after Two (2) weeks, the provider will assume that you are not interested in establishing care with the practice. Therefore, you will be discharged from the practice, your file will be closed, and you will be sent a discharge letter via your TherapyNotes portal and at your email address, and mailed to you (if you had consented to receiving mails from this practice at your listed address on file) with three agency referrals.
  • If you are an established client at this practice and you have not reached out to schedule a follow-up session after Thirty (30) days, (unless that it was agreed between you and the provider that your sessions would be monthly), you will be discharged from service. In that case, your file will be closed, and you will receive a discharge letter via your TherapyNotes portal and at your email, and mailed to you (if you had consented to receiving mails from this practice at your listed address on file) with three agency referrals.
  • If you are a new client, you will receive a call to confirm or cancel your appointment at the (5) minutes mark. Your appointment will be canceled if you are not reached after fifteen (15) minutes. No Shows and Late /same day cancellations will be charged for both in-person and telehealth appointments.
  • If you are an established client, after the ten (10) minutes mark, if you do not log on for your telehealth session, or show up for your in-person appointment, your session will be canceled and marked as a No Show. No Shows and Late/same day cancellations will be charged
  • If you owe a fee or co-payment, you cannot schedule a follow-up appointment until the fee or co-payment is paid in full.
  • Clients are not allowed to record their sessions either via video or audio. It will be grounds for termination of counseling services at Peace of Mind Counseling Services, PLLC.
